Valerie, the chic and spirited vampire, is the only ghoul in Cemeterra Jake’s heart beats for. And who could blame him? The artistic and passionate Boneita stays incredibly close to her familia, and is very proud of her heritage. Though a bit bossy at times, she knows her family and friends are the greatest strength of all, and is always there to lift her loved ones’ spirits with a little música and words of encouragement, especially towards her BFF, Valerie Bloodworth.

The big bully of Cemeterra High that fans the flames of Jake’s insecurities. As the son of the Boogeyman, the King of Nightmares and the most terrifying monster in history, BJ wears his family name proudly like a badge and will see to it that all other monsters fear and respect it.

Every school would be nothing without strong leadership, and there is no finer principal in Cemeterra than Headmaster Grimrath! Also one of the monster world's chief peacekeepers, the undead sorcerer acts as a mentor to Jake and the others, and genuinely cares for their successes both within and beyond Cemeterra High.

Seymour is the bumbling school janitor who is spends his days blissfuly mopping the floor with his sentient mop Gladys. This jovial skeleton sometimes acts as a source of guidance to Jake. Even though his advice can often and unintentionally be misleading, his heart's always in the right place...if there physically is one in those rib cages.

Madame Carmilla Clotgore is the headmistress of the all-vampire private school, Drakemore Prep, Valerie’s former school and one of Cemeterra High greatest rivals. Like many other vampires in the monster world, she is very arrogant, pompous, and snobbish, and believes herself to be superior to not only Grimrath and his school, but to nearly everyone in the land of Cemeterra. She usually looks down on and has low tolerance for lower-class monsters, most notably, WEREWOLVES!
