Tales of the Savage Seas
Get ready to set sail with two thieving friends, Jack the Hackle and Omar, as they and their loyal crew of misfit animals visit exotic lands and fight enemy pirates, evil sorcerers, and other supernatural beings, on their quest for lost treasure. But along the way, they learn that the greatest treasures of all are friendship and love.
Meet the Crew:
Handsome, playful, and of course sly as a fox, Jack may be considered a conniving outlaw on land, but to his friends, he is a GREAT hero and idol. Aided by his thieving raccoon sidekick Omar, a ragtag crew of loyal misfits, and the fair rabbit Bunnita tugging at his heart, it looks like smooth sailing ahead for Jack. | Omar is Jack’s lifelong partner in crime and best friend. For years, they have been living the lives of a stereotypical jackal and raccoon, stealing from and conning other animals out of their money. Small minded, bitter, and extremely greedy, Omar will see to it that he gets his paws on as much riches as he can carry. But deep down inside whatever shriveled up little nut he has for a heart is probably a vulnerable little raccoon just crying out for love...Well, I said “probably.” | Bunnita is a beautiful flamenco dancing rabbit who’s a lot more adventurous than she looks. Raised in a family of wealthy Spanish rabbits, she always hated all the rules they came with upper-class society and dreaded marrying her arrogant and obnoxious suitor. But to her fortune, Jack fell in love with her and whisked her away to adventure. They may be different species, but Bunnita seems more interested in the foxy roguish type than the wealthy and snooty nobleman. | Strong, fierce, and fearless, Fernando the bull is the brawn of the crew. Originally a struggling blacksmith who was often spurned due to his immense size, he later joined Jack's crew to find a better life. But despite his humungous size and occasional short temper, Ferny has the heart of a teddy bear, as well as a good sense of responsibility, and a willingness to help anyone in need. | Ernesto the musical parrot was a street performer from Bunncelona. This singing, comical parrot is not the brightest member of the crew, but he is by no means an idiot. Ernesto LOVES music and is usually seen playing a Spanish tune on his guitar at every opportunity (thinking it adds a little spice to life), much to everyone's annoyance. |

Marissa is Jack and Bunnita’s tomboyish hybrid daughter. Like her father, Marissa is cunning, sly, and very adventurous, but also balances her mother's charm and beauty. While on shore, Marissa may receive a lot of negative attention from other “normal” animals for having mixed-species parents, but she’s always got a family that accepts her for who she is. |
Finished Art:
After Bunnita runs away from her dull upperclass lifestyle, she joins Jack and his scurvy crew. She then enjoys a romantic moment with her new lover on top of the crow's nest as they sail way to a whole new life. | In this scene, Jack the Hackle is talking to Bunnita about how he lost his mother and the promises he broke. Bunnita comforts Jack, who is feeling extremely sorrowed and distraught, and believing he really is a low-life criminal. | Shortly after the previous scene, Jack, noticing that he and Bunnita are alone at last, he decides now is the time to confess his love for her. | |

Fast forward a few years, and we see preteen Marissa getting her first ship piloting lesson from Jack. His li'l Marissa is not so little anymore; she's becoming a full-on pirate. And she's stolen her daddy's heart. |
